The Director of Sales is responsible for developing a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Also responsible for managing the entire sales force and assisting/ coaching them in attaining their own individual goals as well as department goals.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to established rules and guidelines.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales goals for territories and individuals; projecting expected sales volume
  • Implement goals by developing sales action plans for territories and individuals
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure achievement of sales targets, aligning with company objectives
  • Manage, develop, coach, nurture and motivate the sales team to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional and customer service standard is achieved and sales and KPI targets are met
  • Encourage accountability in individuals and for the team through life cycle of client experience
  • Ensure targets are met through team and individual management, performance review, reward and individual recognition
  • Develop and maintain individual communication plan with team members to ensure achievement of goals and track activity and leads through sales cycle, including regularly reviewing CRM data and conducting regularly scheduled individual coaching sessions
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
  • Train sales team on CRM and company sales standards, processes and procedures
  • Participate in the recruitment of sales personnel as needed to meet sales objectives and targets
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they negotiate and close deals and manage project life cycle
  • Ensure that sales team in each non-Los Angeles is supported by, connected to, and accountable to home office
  • Assist in developing incentive programs to reward and incentivize achievement of sales goals
  • Meet with clients to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our relationship with them
  • Present to and assist sales team in presenting to existing and potential clients regarding services
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales data and KPIs for senior management utilizing CRM platform
  • Manage and continually improve sales process – promote transparency to motivate, track analytics, implement sales technology
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitive landscape for all regions and communicate developments and trends to senior management
  • Assist in developing growth strategies in current and future markets and services based on market data in alignment with company objectives
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies to align with company objectives, including growing sales revenue and volume across territories and services
  • Increasing the quality of the lead-service experience from the first interaction a lead has with the company
  • Continuously improve quality of client interactions and relationships and customer service to maintain and improve premier luxury customer service experience

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing a sales team of at least 10 people
  • Preferred real estate, design and/or luxury brand experience
  • Must be passionate about our business
  • Able to travel as necessary – regular routine local travel and up to 25% overnight travel
  • Proven track record for creating a strategy for a sales team to achieve the company’s goals
  • Have successfully implemented a plan to meet strategic objectives and maximize each team member’s personal sales potential
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in having successfully managed, motivated and nurtured a high performing sales team, preferably on a national level
  • Strong sense of integrity
  • Must be experienced in excellent client relationship building skills
  • Familiar with home staging, design and/or residential real estate concepts, practices and procedures

Pay Range in Los Angeles

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Base Salary

$130,000/yr - $150,000/ yr plus bonus
